Trafford FC v. Witton Albion

Witton return to action following the enforced break due to the wintry weather when they travel to Trafford on Saturday afternoon in a Northern Premier League West Division fixture.

A chance to extend the winning run to six games is a possibility in what always proves to be a difficult game.

Witton’s last visit to the Shawe View Stadium was a successful one as they came away with the three points from a convincing 4-0 win.

Goals from Tom Pope, Matt Lowton, Joe Duckworth and Brandon Newell secured the victory for the Albion on that occasion.

Trafford have already got the better of Witton this season, winning courtesy of Jordan Fagbola’s goal at the U Lock It Stadium, so will be hoping to complete the double over Ben Harrison’s team.

The fixture also signals Damola Sotona’s return to Trafford for the first time since he joined the Albion and has already put in some impressive performances.

Trafford go into the game in twelfth place in the table, level on points with Witton but with an inferior goal difference whilst Albion will be hoping to continue their push up the table.

Games with Trafford have always been eventful and results seem to have been evenly spread over the years so, another close game is not out of the question.

After our weather enforced break, really looking forward to this one!

I like going to Trafford, good old non league club let’s hope we take a good following and can keep our run going.

Team-wise not sure on injuries to Koral and Baillie plus Owen German’s loan position but if everyone is fit and available I’d go

Fallon
Koral, Bailey, Harrison, Jackson, Sotona
Graham, German, Lawrie
Harrop, Hepple

If German-loan has ended then Brazel in place.
Good luck lads…
