Witton are in action again next Saturday when they welcome Kidsgrove Athletic to the U Lock It Stadium in a Northern Premier League West Division fixture.
Well a damp squib of a day matched by the game! Although to be fair the pitch was heavy and the effort was there but we cannot finish chances which makes it hard to win games.
Our best hope was the skills and pace of Christy Edwards but on his own not enough. We probably had 3 chances to win it with Garbutt, Duckworth and Hoyle spurning them.
I would say encouragingly, we look stronger at the back and in midfield now and can match teams in play but we really need a striker with pace and a finish but they are like gold dust!
Probably a fair result overall.
Great reaction save by our Keeper in the last few munutes to preserve a clean sheet .
