Tribute

Just heard a very moving tribute to THE 96 at Goodison Park this evening, could we have one tomorrow?

Minutes applause/silence?

At Goodison they played some of “he aint heavy, he’s my brother” and applauded, very moving!

I maybe biased as an Evertonian but we really do have the greatest fans in the world.

Good idea MM, I also think we should mark the occasion and do the same to remember the victims of the Bradford City stadium fire, Munich air crash, Heysel stadium disaster at the appropriate junctures.

Noone should ever go to a football game and lose their life because of the actions or the lack of actions of others.

Evertonians - best fans mmmm, certainly some of the bitterest, however last night showed the club in a very good light.

No not for all those other disasters, just that with the ruling last week from the independant panel that this is current. Football fans were considered as just scum, and allowed to die. Not one single person SHOULD have died that day and the whole football family is showing solidarity with the families of the 96, and with Liverpool fans who were blamed.

What Everton did last night was superb, and I just thought we could contribute. A minutes worth of that song played, with applause, surely us proud Wittoners could do that.

I am delighted to hear that the fans who died are at last getting justice, those responsible on the day should receive the punishment they deserve for the lies they told. But what about those thousands of IDIOT fans who by their violent actions in the 70’s and 80’s forced the clubs to erect those horrible fences in the first place? I hope they are hanging their heads in shame for without those bloody fences all those who died at Hillsborough would still be alive because they would have simply spilled out on to the pitch.
It is sad but true that the people really responsible, the chief constables etc will probably get away with it just as the bankers have got away with it, any gone to prison? Of course not, the rich and powerful look after each other no matter what they have done. Mark my words, no one of any real position will serve time for the crime they committed that day.

‘Well if you knew your history’ you would!

I know my history and that’s just what it is HISTORY, the only thing that Liverpool fans ever wanna talk about…

 was talking to Robbo last night about that week they beat Madrid and United away. Good times
