Tuesday Night Results....

The bottom three clubs all had league games tonight, Lairds and Prescot both losing and Leigh picked up a point at Frickley. Eastwood humbled at home!

Eastwood Town 0
Guiseley 3

Frickley Athletic 0
Leigh Genesis 0

Ilkeston Town 2
Cammell Laird 1

Prescot Cables 0
Kendal Town 1

Some good results there for us

The Lairds defeat probably the most significant.

Our game tomorrow is naturally important but also because Worksop play Marine and if we don’t win they could leapfrog us!

By the way, the Unibond site says Eastwood lost 1-3 whereas Skysports says 0-3, I have gone with Sky’s final score as they may be a bit more reliable than the official league site!!! Either way it is safe to say they lost!!!

I can’t see Marine winning tommorow with their recent form! but hopefully they can get a point.

As long as we win it doesn’t matter what happens elsewhere.

Ilkeston can overtake Eastwood:P

I noticed that Ilkeston can take top spot, big ask but it looks like the pressure is getting to Eastwood.

Indeed good results for us!

Leigh are surely dead and buried now (despite the Flitcroft revolution ) as are Prescot.

Just gotta hope theres bigger distance between us and the likes of Lairds, Matlock and Whitby after the next week.

Nice to see Eastwood dropping points keeping the title race interesting. Though if them and Nantwich go up which I hope they both do the league is going to be very open next season. If the likes of Kendal and Ilkeston can get to that end of the league don’t see why we can’t!

I actually think Marine will get something there tomorrow, they have been so bad recently that their results have to improve at some point, it may be easier for them away from home at the moment.

The results have certainly made the scrap at the bottom very interesting. Cammell Laird’s next two games are Matlock and Leigh Genesis in the space of three days.

Nice spot Wheels, going to be an interesting remainder of the week. We need 4 points minimum from the next two games against Whitby to help lift some of the pressure. This would help as I don’t fancy needing points against Nantwich this time next week!

From a Witton point of view i’d liek to see Nantwich stay down. Always good to have a local derby.
