Two horse race?

Rumour has it they have put a value of £250,000 on him and one or two clubs have already put offers in well in excess of Cheltenham. £100,000 for Adam you think?

I think we have to demand that kind of figure ok we might have to settle for say 60-70k etc but there are plenty of teams out there willing to pay Accrington have just spent 85k on Ian Crainey and Charnock went from vics to Peterborough for near 100k.
I think with the coverage of Sentanta and to a lesser extent Unibond TV, non-league players are now more acessible and easier to keep track of which is why we are seeing a lot of non-league players move up.

In regards to Adam Warlow, proven goalscorer for past two seasons at a decent standard of football, quick, strong, uses both feet, great heading ability plus a great pedigree so why not demand a decent price for him!

Rather keep Adam to the end of season and get promotion than 60-70k. 8)

Adam will stay till May.

Found this on the Web, which is what Dario said when releasing Adam at the end of last season;

Whilst out on loan himself, Warlow has scored a commendable 29 goals for non-league Witton Albion but has not done enough to convince Dario Gradi and the other coaching staff that he worth an extended deal. Warlow rejected the chance to go out on loan to Icelandic side IBV next season and Dario admits he couldn’t justify giving the Southport-born striker a new contract.

Dario explained to crewealex.net: "Adam is one we couldn’t make our mind up about. He has scored a lot of goals for Witton but whenever we have watched him the reports haven’t been that favourable for this level of football. We have watched him numerous times this season.

"We offered Adam the chance to go out on loan to Iceland and then to come back here to see if he had developed but he declined that offer, so I couldn’t really justify giving him a new contract.

"He is now free to move on and he is one who could come again. He certainly has the ability and can score goals, but mentality he struggles a bit and we have decided to cut our losses and we wish him well."

Well its official, Adam should now be refered to as 100k rated forward Adam Warlow, the local press anounced it on Cheshire FM so its got to be official. ;D

Don’t believe everything you read and hear!!!

£100,000 but we stay in the Unibond Premier, is that good business? Sadly, in this day and age, I think it is, and you all know what I think of this league.
WHS.

We’ll surely not stand in his way - I don’t think WAFC have ever made it difficult for young players to better themselves. What would be the point? I think we just have to trust the club to do what’s best for the us and the player.

Having said that, Adam did say in a recent post-match interview that he would stay until the end of the season…here’s hoping he does…

I would expect Adam to stay until the end of the season. IF he doesn’t, then do we not think that anything in the region of £100k would allow us to bring in a few more players to spearhead the title-charge?!

We started last season hoping for promotion, and we hadn’t even heard of Adam at that point!!!

Players move on, teams progress. That’s football for you!!
