many thanks for the update my husband will be coming home one very happy man

Talk about a game of 2 halves!!!

Clitheroe battered us first half, and we were lucky we didn’t go in 4 or 5 nil down.

2nd half we improved (but we couldn’t get any worse), and as the game went on, we got stronger and stronger, and we could have won by a lot more.

My MOM was Callum Botham

Good win in the end, first half best forgotten couldn`t string two passes together, vast improvement in 2nd half cracking goal from botham , like the look of" mini pritch"at the back once he settled down.Mom Botham.

Dick Turpin lives! first half we were diabolical (Yes but we haven’t trained properly !!! but everyone else in this league has !).
Second half much improved.Pritch’s “love child” sorry he looked like a little pritch decided to win the ball, midfielders decided to close down the opponents. Clitheroe must have been so peed off when Callum struck a shot that was not meant to be seen at this level. Sheer tenacity got Ashley the second. MOM between Cooper, Harrison and Callum. Three points towards safety. RED ARMY

Up to 5th and Chorley and Chester both lost, this league is a bit topsy turvy who knows what will happen in the New Years?

With Cooper,Holt,Wood and now Doughty we were playing a new fourmatt.
Definitely a game of two halves.
The second period was very good to watch.
After not conceding when Clitheroe were on top that was an excellent victory

New policy of only signing players called Matt Harrison

I missed the first 30 mins and it sounds like I timed it about right, second half I thought we were excellent and on hearing how short we were of players I was very impressed with how the Gaffers switched things about to beat a very good Clitheroe team.

We started to get a toe hold in the game after about 35mins and finished the first half quite well. Second half we were better from start to finish. I thought all the new guys did well and we were unlucky to lose Anthon after he started brightly and looked like he could cause Clitheroe a few problems. Sublime strike from Calum and tenacity from Ashley saw us home.

Clithero looked a decent team and will be kicking themselves that they did not make more of the first half when a succession of coners was wasted. That said our keeps made a couple of excellent saves to keep us in the game at that point.

PS WAs I the only person on the ground who thought their number 3 had been booked twice but no red card?

According to Mr.Witton number 3 was booked once.
