Giving Vics somewhere to play IS helping them. The Marston Arena costs them a fortune, a fortune they don’t have and while it is nice to think of the money they would pay to play at our ground surely it is better to allow them to “Go to the wall”; with no Vics we would have no competition for supporters or for sponsors. Anyway, common sense does not come into it for me, I hate Vics and that’s an end to it.

I was playing golf today with an ex member of the Conference board, I tried to get out of him what Jim Rush actually did for a living, he had no idea but seemed to think it was something to do with a launderette at the VS, I can’t see how that could be making that much for them.
On a completly different topic he also told me of some threatening calls some members of the board received from some unsavoury characters in the Manchester ‘underworld’ a couple of years ago.
Back to the topic in hand if we don’t host them them sombody else would, and being in the NPL at the moment the ground grading wouldn’t need too much work for say, Lostock, Barnton, Winsford so we’d be silly to turn down the income really
I understand that this can be gotten around if another club guarantees to provide them with somewhere to play if they have to leave the VS mid-season.
Further to that, i understand that that club was us.
