versus warrington town

a comfortable win, never realy got out of 2nd gear after the early sending off. a good solid performance, the result was never in doubt. matt cross looks to be a useful signing, he played some very nice balls and looked composed. is this another inspired signing by pritch. great to be in the play offs with a home game to start, but we need to get behind the lads in every game before then to keep the momentum of this unbeaten run going and gain promotion via the play offs, so come on you reds let’s get behind the lads for the final few games of this memorable season for this push for pomotion, cos they have given us a season to remember. well done to pritch and mose and to a truly competitive squad of players, and not to forget our superb groundsmen who keep the pitch in fantastic condition which was in fantastic condition after all the rain today. my only complaint about tonights game is why was the music still played while team announcements etc were being made, we could not hear what was being said over the tannoy, so please turn the music off when announcements are being made. come on witton.

What I like about this Witton team is that they play football the right way, but they won`t be bullied out of a game. Warrington tried to kick us of the park again, and yet again they failed to get anything out of the game in playing this way.
In the last three home games Anthony Gardner has taken some shocking leg breaking tackles. On each occasion I feared for AG. Full credit to AG for picking himself up and getting on with the game. I did fear for him again against Warrington, after he took another bad challenge. But yet again he dusted himself down and got on with the game. What a great attitude he has. As do all the players in this seasons squad.

Its great to see that we dont rely on Titch to score all of the goals. We have a squad of players thats full of goals. I luv watching this Witton team. Ive been watching Witton since I was six years old. This is is one of the best teams I`ve seen in all those years.
Big thanks to the management team for putting together such a fantastic squad of players.

People laugh when I say we play like a non league Barcelona but at times there is simply no doubt we do. Everyone working hard when we lose the ball, goals coming from all over the place and our own little Lionel Messi in Titch, I rest my case!! Oh, and no big centre forward.
WHS.

Excellent post Mike.

Well done everyone, another footballing treat in front of an excellent crowd.

We would have gubbed them even if they’d had 11 men all game.

And well done Abid Hussain, the stand side liner.

See you all at Cammell.

UTA!

After watching the display last night WHS is not far wrong with his Barcelona analogy. I mean the second half we just kept possession and they never got a sniff. Never seen such a one sided game in all my football watching career mind you Bamber Bridge was similar!!
I just worry that if we don’t go up our team might break up. This is the best bunch of lads we’ve had since the successful early 1990s era. For instance Sheehan is the nearest thing I’ve seen to Stuart Anderson and comparisons between Titch and Karl Thomas are not silly far from it!!You can see in all the lads that they have learnt to play with more discpline. Matty Woods for instance does not go gung ho now but thinks out his forays forward carefully and still remains an exciting and more accomplished left back. Our management team has worked wonders with these lads so I’d be really sad to see ANY OF THEM GO.So lets do our bit as fans by cheering them on more and make more noise. Lets carry our incredible team up to the next league where we deserve to be.
Onward and Upward Cmon lads please please please stay with us. ALL us fans think your the tops!!

Absolutely brilliant last night. Controlled the game from the first whistle and could’ve scored double the amount we did.

I was impressed with Matt Cross too, he’s got an eye for a pass and looks good on the ball. Our squad is very strong now, as demonstrated by having the likes of Hancock and Ollie James on the bench.

Best moment of the night however, was the photographer falling off his stool at the Wincham end :woohoo:

Evidence of the squad depth for me is the debate that can be had about the start 11, early in the season one player missing from the 11 had an impact on the team now we have avery strong bench.

Great performance last night and no doubt we have good players judging by the attention from other clubs, but can we take it to the next level?

We are definitely in the play offs so the real test of a great team - who will step up to to the plate and take us through when the going gets tough as undoubtedly it will.

We can do it, the players are good enough there’s no doubt, and personally I think they have what it takes to win in those pressure situations ahead.

Deep breath boys and get us up !

No doubt whatsoever that this squad assembled by the superb management team we now have CAN easily compete at the next level, come on we can do this!!! :cheer:
