Lost 2-1 played much better tonight deserved a point but 2 bad mistakes cost us dearly, first a clumsy and rash tackle for there equaliser from the pen spot, and then on 89 minute a fluke of a shot/ deflection dropped in over our keeper who should really have saved it comfortably.
Whilst we played much better we still had little cutting edge and our final pass was too often not good, but we did deserve a point for our improved effort, lets hope the new mgr ( who was supposedly there tonight ) has the ability to bring in at least 3 new players to give us the edge to win these type of games. A massive improvement on recent weeks which is a good place to start. We could and probably should have been out of sight by halftime with (as cj said) more cutting edge but definitely deserved at least a point from the game .
Oh well on to the next game.

Having missed much of the rise and dramatic fall in our fortunes this season, I thought the Witton players on the park gave their all for the cause. They played to their ability and were very unfortunate not to gain a point. The winning goal was a total fluke I was stood at the Lostock end,
I disagree with you CJ on that one I really don’t think the goalkeeper was at fault, if the ball had looped anywhere else he would have got it.
Overall I thought Swift had a good game and made a damn better showing than I ever saw Sanna make.
This is the end of another era, The new managerial incumbent should have our support, I don’t relish his task, unfortunately this time the football management side has to be totally independent from the "Witton Family"in respect as to who they pick to play.
Yes we played much better (we only conceded two for a start!) Silly penno given away after taking the lead on 7 mins and I couldn’t blame the keeper for their winner more the defence for letting their big striker chest the long ball back away from goal take a couple of touches then loop a shot over and in. The keeper very nearly kept out the penalty too.
A very unjust defeat, as has been said. We dominated the 2nd half but their defence was solid so their keeper (in fact both keepers) had little to do. Zak in defence improved as the game went on and Titch is returning to form - all we have to do now is stop pumping high balls up to him (DOH!). Swift was pretty good although his clearances were a bit Cooper-esque on occasions. Looking forward to Neil returning to lead the line. Any news on Dave Walker?
Much better performance which at least bodes well for the future. Plenty of changes coming no doubt in the next few days and weeks.
ME thought the keeper had a decent game and deserves his chance but from where I and most others saw the goal he seemed to either see it late or lost it in the lights as he didn’t move to the last moment, he may have thought it was sailing over ? By the time he reacted it was hard to save it so I still think it was his error but young keepers are going to make odd mistakes, of course when you are on a bad run this is what happens our luck will change.
