Another winnable game coming up if we play well, after a good win Saturday what do you think the team might be ? I think we may start same team but I would go 343
Swift
Barnes Goulding Shawe
Gards Clark Shaw Dawson
Andrews Rainford Molina
Could argue that Roddan Titchener Corbett Fowler and new signing Levelle Moore might start but the front 3 did well and Shaw is playing against his old club ! and I thought Dawson did well when he came on makes less mistakes than Zak at wing back, Same 11 could play a 4-4-2 also I guess a few will be training this week to influence the manager to put them in the 11 ? a good place to be at last and the bench will have some game changers on it. I assume Robertson is out as he wasn’t named as. Sub on Saturday and that Porter is a long way off being fit ? Be interested to see others thoughts. UTA
I did hear that Robertson had a shoulder problem. If he’s fit by the weekend I would play him. My team would be similar to the one mentioned but maybe a slight change in formation.
I haven’t seen how the team played, only read reports and comments but winning Saturday would tell me to keep the same team unless absolutely necessary to change it. Still waiting for news on Zac Corbett’s ban as I speak so we might be forced into one change at least.
I heard Robertson had an operation last week but i would play Swift anyway, he didnt put a foot wrong and the Ramsbottom goal was a screamer that would of beaten anyone.
Out of the two keepers we have available I would play Robertson every time I feel his experience will be invaluable in a relegation dogfight. Swift makes me very nervous and I won’t say any more than that.
Can easily interchange to the 5 at the back with wing backs with this if things are tough early.
Really want to see Danny playing on the right side again with Gards overlapping, that’s been our bread and butter for the past 4 years.
Also very ahrd to leave Lucas out, one because he’s such a cool lad and second of all i think he will be best coming off the bench as an impact player. Great presence.
4 4 2 for me on Saturday too but I would go with
Mason
Halliday , Coathup, McNeilis,Conner,
Anderson,Thomas , Stewart , Alford,
Grimshaw,Luctevitch
:goal
Grimmy’s got a suntan Grimmys got a suntan na na nah nah na
So see all the nonsense about Gards had some truth with the club statement, following an incident on Saturday Gards has been disciplined, stripped of captaincy and transfer listed, is this club on a suicide mission or should I say the manager, Gards is one of only 2 quality players we have who put in a shift every week, I’m gutted and surprised the manager cannot resolve this without damaging the team - does not bode well for our future at all !
Gutted about this news, i cant believe were willing to shoot ourselves on the foot due to an argument with a linesman that has previous history!
Im now wondering if i can be bothered going tomorrow as this leaves a bad feeling in my stomach
Don’t know the full facts of the incident, absolutely gutted is the only way to describe it I just have a sinking feeling we are gonna go back to that pathetic 5-3-2 with Rodden as a wing back in place of Gards!!! If we do were down in my opinion, just can’t believe we have lost such a great player!
I will be going tomorrow if I can finish in time, gonna take every opportunity I can to see Danny Andrews play, here’s hoping for 3 points
Quote from CJ 20th September (on Sanna)
“…why was Ryan Swift not given a chance did we need a loan signing ? preseason he arguably looked better than Sanna…”
Quote from CJ 5th November (on Bakkor)
“…It seems they will take anybody at Skem ? A decent player but didn’t score enough for a striker and with his bad discipline and attitude we are pretty well rid to be honest.”
The timing of this is impeccable just at a time when we need our best players. Gards was a player who gave 110% week in week out and was prepared to run through brick walls for Witton Albion. I just hope it has nothing to do with a fall out with the manager. This is a hammer blow in my opinion and one which I now fear could see us relegated.
Why do we always seem to shoot ourselves in the foot. Gards is a class player who has given his heart and soul into the club since he joined us, and this action seems to me to be way over the top. I fear for our future if we continue to get rid of our best players.
Too many people jumping to conclusions on here, and making judgements before knowing the facts. This club has been slated in the past for not reacting to things that have happened off the pitch. Lets wait to find out what actually happened after the game, before another episode splits our fan base even further!
So to stop any crazy rumours flying around why dont the board come out and say the reason behind this decision?
We have a vital game this afternoon yet all the talk is going to be about one player, a player who has many friends amongst the fan base so people will hear whats happened so surely its best to at least offer some kind of explanation?!
Lets hope for the Clubs sake we win today!!
The things is Anthony has obviously done something serious enough for the club to deem it necessary to envoke this procedure. I’m sure it wasn’t a decision that was taken lightly.
Is there not an element of faith that has to be placed in the club to act in the best interests of everyone?
No one player is bigger than the club and ill discipline needs to be dealt with quickly and proportionately. People need to accept that based on the severity of the punishment it was sometime pretty serious.
