Vs Vics

Folks lets not get too het up, the reserves will be playing tomorrow so we can be as fresh as possible for Saturday, personally I’m more frustrated we had to play Tuesday after the game being replayed when we looked good value for a point a few weeks ago, Stamford have had a free week however.

The social club has nothing to do with it, the beer festival has been scheduled for months, booked by myself ste and Ron before we even played 1874 and is to raise money for the club so there is no agenda there??

Hindsights a great thing folks, bear in mind we played a lot of reserves last year in the first round, just wish we had been knocked out then!

I thought this was a club that got behind all its teams. I agree £10 is a lot to pay in a hectic week but where are all the words of encouragement for young lads going out after being called upon last minute to represent THE CLUB !!
Where are all the fans who have watched talent Come and go ready to embrace all the hard work I have done to help precure future players are given a pathway to add to our rich history. As manager of both reserves & U18s I feel really disappointed after the club has done the right thing in deferring this game to a young hungry squad who I assure u will do the club proud

Bonez

Its not about not supporting the Club Bonez it comes down to the fact i was at the match on Saturday, the match on Tuesday and im going to Stamford on Saturday and with money tight at the best of times i simply cannot afford to pay £10 again tonight!
Im annoyed that were having to play it tonight but glad to hear the team for Stamford wont be involved, any other time of the year a match against Vics would get my blood pumping but 48 hours from a much bigger game means it simply doesnt!

The money thing was exactly wot I was referring to.

Just post some good luck words and forget about Saturday for a short time and get behind these lads tonight as they cud have a big part to play next season.

I’ll be very proud win loose or draw and so shud the fans who will see the fantastic work we have done to raise the standards of our clubs youth system which will be even better moving forward with the new Academy/Education program next season

No idea why it can’t be moved to pre-season as it was a few years ago.

I hope we never play in this competition ever again.

Is Phil Carter still managing the team tonight?

We should agree with them to make this a reserve game and then arrange a preseason friendly to play them in an “unofficial final” it’s what the mid cheshire FA deserve, I’m in two minds tbh so will think on it and decide later !

Cheshire Gap 3.8% Brewed with Pure Cheshire Water, English Pale Malt, East Kent Goldings & Bodecia Hops Cheshire Gap is the perfect partner for foods or for quaffing on lazy summer days.

Gunpowder Strong Mild 3.8% A stronger than expected mild. Very dark, with a full flavour and a slightly bitter aftertaste, this places mild in the forefront of cask-conditioned beers again. It has a fullness, which as its name suggests lets you know it’s there. A very frequent medal winner at the Great British Beer Festival.

Cheshire Set 4% Crisp and Clean Blonde ale, late hopped with an abundant amount of English Keyworth Early hops, lots of citrus and flavor from this exciting reintroduced heritage hop variety.

Kooky Gold 4.1% An easy drinking, lightly hopped, golden session ale. It’s the sort of beer that the word ‘quaffable’ was meant for.

Midnight Stout 4.4% Smooth, Traditional easy drinking stout with a dry roasted barley flavour. SIBA Regional Winner 2014: Gold in Stout section, Silver overall. Champion Beer of Cheshire 2014.

Blackout Rum Porter 4.4% A Dark Full Bodied Porter. A deep intense malty flavour with dark roasted & chocolate malts and a lingering aroma of Barbadian Oak Aged Rum! Champion Beer of Cheshire 2013.

Dragonslayer 5.6% Malty aroma with notes of caramel. The flavour is both malty, sweet and hoppy, with a dry and sharp bitter finish.

Out of Step IPA 5.8% Big, citrusy, lemony India Pale Ale. An explosion of delicious flavours in one perfect pint.

Cheshire Dry Cider 7.5% A slightly hazy, deep amber coloured cider that is tannin-rich with low acidity and overall earthy roundness.

Harry Master Jersey 6.8% Golden straw coloured with subtle tannins and low acidity, it retains a hint of sherberty appleness.

Won’t be going to this myself, not because of it being £10 but purely because having watched the Reserves and Youth this season I can hardly see this being a contest, what a great way this could have been for Vics start of next season their first game back in Northwich, and a Cup Final against Witton, for me that would have brought in a much larger crowd and buzz about the game, same old Cheshire FA completely out of touch with the modern game

We owe Bonez and the reserve team players a great deal of gratitude for this gesture when they were in with a chance of success in their own competition tonight. Giving us the best possible chance to prepare properly for what is likely to be the biggest game for our club since that momentous day at Curzon Ashton.

Vics should be playing their reserves too so might be a better game than you expect Jonny

Mid Cheshire FA hang your head in shame, you complain about lack of support for your trophy so you go and do this to it ! does anything that Has FA after it have to be full of rules are rules type and non football people without a shred of common sense ?

A match preview is now available on the official club website.
