WA Development Fund 2009/10 Season

The Development Fund are for the coming season looking to raise funds to again support and enhance the playing budget.

The Pre-season has been encouraging, and we need to support the board and Gary’s squad to try and bounce back at the 1st attempt.

Over the last 3 years YOU have raised/donated and supported our efforts magnificently.

We are a self supporting football club, with no major ‘financial backers’ but we have a spirit amongst ‘you lot’ that other clubs can only dream about.

If you can assist in any way, through helping with events, donations large or small and crucially SUPPORTING the Development Funds activities it makes all the difference.

If you require any further information or would like to offer help/ideas etc. then speak to Neil Wilson/Jim Powell or Andy Chadwick at andychad@inbox.com

Thanks once again.

UP THE ALBS!!!

Following on from Chad’s post, without getting carried away on the back of 1 match we have assembled a decent squad who can “challenge” for a return to the premier division.
This is however reliant upon a regular weekly donation from the development fund which is raised by the events etc so please show your support when Len comes asking for that £15 or a prediction form is thrust upon you!

If you feel you would like to donate as well please contact myself or Andy Chad in the usual ways - it will be much appreciated.

How does Di’s lottery fit in? I assume that’s all income for WADF, but not much publicity on here, unless I’ve missed it?

Perhaps a summary of fund raising schemes (200 club, dev fund, lottery) may be useful?

I am already in the 200 club, what else can I join?

The Board.

GE

Now you rae being silly GE, you don’t want me on the Board unless you want to be “bored” silly!!
WHS.

There are several ways you can join in this year to help maintain the current playing squad:

  1. The 200 club - See Len Holman Cost £15.00 for the season

  2. Sponsor a pitch Square - See Graham Pickering Cost £25.00 for the season

  3. Sponsor a player - See Neil Wilson Cost £50 or £80 for the season

  4. Sponsor a Goal - See Graham Pickering Cost from £1.00 to £10 per goal payable at the end of each month

  5. Sponsor a clean sheet - See Graham Pickering Cost from £5.00 to £20.00 per clean sheet kept payable at the end of each month.

  6. The lottery - See Di Riley - monies raised from this go to the developement fund

Hope that helps WHS, as you can see there is lots everyone can do but most important of all is to get yourselves to as many games as possible this season.

GE have you ever thought of joining the board ?, I’ve got a good feeling you might be able to trust the current ones. Just a thought.
   Best regards WP

Your red and white stripes are still there we all know,
only Im a little worried WP it’s not Wincham Park thats caused u the problem is it ? or a small …

I will be there on Tuesday I promise. I will pay £1 per point again this season to the Medical Centre if that is okay?

UPDATE - 2009/10 Development Fund

Could I take this opportunity to thank all the people who have helped raise and donated monies this year to support the WADF and by definition the Board and Managers playing budget.

In particular to Jim and the Powell family, for organising events, coaches and the predictions throughout the season. Also to Lenny for running the 200 Club.

I would also like to thank 2 of our less prominent supporters, who despite the teams indifferent performance and their own health problems both made recent donations to the Development Fund - So to Ken Turner and Fred Collins a big thank you.

We do have a fantastic bunch of supporters and because of these people and probably most of you reading this! We are still on target to meet our target this year.

If anyone has any ideas with regard to a function/fundraising event for March then please get in touch.

Thanks once again, and if anyone can help/assist in any way then please contact Neil/Len/Jim or myself.

There are a few fans behind the goal who would raise a fortune if they agreed to a sponsored silence!!

Brilliant :cheer:

Yes we all owe alot to the stalwarts, Mr and Mrs Powell and family are really brilliant, I love em (especially t’ missus  )

I reckon they could go on celebrity Mr and Mrs, they’d be sure to win, and thier named “charity” could be “football in the community in the south of the canal area of Wincham near Northwich”
