WAFC v Frickley

So difficult to predict this one.
Do we need five dozen pies or three dozen?

I’ll be having two as it’ll be cold :pie :pie

Re the junior team that will be attending, there are ten players plus perhaps 15 parents, so wont be anywhere near as bad as previous weeks!

So frickley have lost 7 out of 7 away games! does that make anyone other than me a little bit nervous?

I think it is prudent that we make the following announcement;

The Junior Team invited to Wincham Park as guests of the Club tomorrow, will be Northwich Victoria Under 9s.

This is a fantastic gesture by all involved with Witton Albion FC to embrace a junior team which are associated with our former local rivals.

Brian Pritchard and Mark Harris were particularly keen to invite a Vics junior team down, as we felt it was unfair that these children were missing out on the opportunity to engage with a local community-oriented senior football team.

As with every other junior team that we invite down as guests, please offer full support and encouragement.

Remember that these children are impressionable, and any impression we make on them tomorrow will influence their future opinion of our football club.

Playful banter is of course acceptable! But what is playful to us, isn’t always so playful to an 8 or 9 year old.

it is also worth noting that Ste Yoxall’s son Ryan is a member of the Vics U9s, so not all these boys are necessarily Vics fans anyway!

It would be great to see their forum full of positive comments about how good we were as hosts, and heartbreaking to give them any ammunition to use against us.

So, again, please can i ask that we show these boys the way a proper community football club conducts itself.

Thanks.

Great work again lads.

I played for Northwich for ten years .sick

It should also be noted that Ryan is now a green belt at karate, so please applaud the half time kickabout politely

Sadly I can’t make the frickin Frickley game tomorrow, I swapped weekend work around to make the Skem Trophy game…lets give the Vics Juniors a warm Witton Welcome…and lets have a good HOME WIN…COME ON THE ALBIOOOOOON!!

Well done boys, great all round effort. My MoM Fozzy , by a country mile. He’s a much more complete footballer than during his first spell with us. Great to see Olly James closing down space and keeping the engine room ticking over.

Admittedly, we were playing a dreadful team who kept giving us back the ball, but I thought our one touch passing would have troubled most teams. The goals are flowing and the Albs are on the up!!
