Anyone aged in their late 40s or above is invited to attend. It is an excellent opportunity for getting active, recovering from health issues, meeting up with friends, having some good fun.

These sessions are for fun, so don’t worry about your football capabilities.

The cost for taking part will be £2 per person per session, falling in line with other Walking Football activities in the Mid Cheshire area. No membership fees or extended commitment necessary. No pressure, participate or observe – just come as you are. Kit is your personal choice, comfortable clothes and footwear recommended. Changing facilities are available.

If you are interested in joining the group, please leave your contact details at the following email address, or just simply turn up any Wednesday.

Cannot make it this week but would love to come the following week, is out on every Wednesday?
WHS.

Yes believe it is planned to be on every week-should be interesting to say the least. UTA

Witton Albion in the Community would like to extend their thanks to everyone who attended the first "Walking Football " Session last night at the Football Club. The session was well attended and the initial feedback is that it was an enjoyable evening for participants and people observing.

Following discussion with the people who attended, it was decided to move the event from Wednesday evenings to MONDAYS from next week but again at 6pm. This is so that the event doesn’t clash with other events at the football club where the Training facilities are required eg: football matches on the main pitch.

You will have been amused by the walking football team photo!

Another excellent turn out on Monday, 12 became 14 players, so 1 hour of
exhaustive 7v7

A chilly evening, but they all got up a good sweat, and we even turned
on the floodlights for the second half. The match report would vary,
depending on which side were telling the story. Also, the game last
Wednesday caused more after match analysis on Saturday than the First
team game!!

The positive news is that all ‘players’ definately had fun, no injuries,
although several had to rest from training for the days inbetween.

Perhaps Brian & Terry could give a brief ‘Match Report’ - tactics were
evident, but no sure whether they were football focused.

The website brought in a new addition, just moved into the area from
Altrincham - so a new WAFC fan to boost!

Absolutely fantastic. So proud of the club for all its work in the community. Wish the town appreciated it a little more. This and the fair play award are what sport should be all about. Well done all.

Nearly turned out Chris, then I realised, I can’t walk far without everything seizing up!! Well done to all involved, might come down to watch next week.
WHS

Apologies that I’m not able to add a photo of the players taking part in the "Walking Football " I am trying to get around this problem.

Its in the programme this week so if you cant get it on here, people can see it there

Tonight’s session is cancelled due to the adverse weather.

The WAITC Walking Football Sessions will begin again on Monday, 9th January at The NetDec Stadium from 6pm.

Barring pitch inspections and fog etc of course ! LOL

… and 3 inches of frozen turf across across one goalmouth

Following discussions with the Groundstaff and the amount of wet weather we have had recently, the "Walking Football " Session for tonight has been cancelled.

Tonight’s “Walking Football” Session has been cancelled due to the pitch being waterlogged and muddy.

Following discussions with our Secretary and the people involved with the "Walking Football " Sessions, due to weather conditions the sessions are being postponed until the weather situation hopefully improves. It has therefore been decided to re commence the sessions as from Monday, 6th February. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank everyone for their understanding.

Tomorrow’s "Walking Football " Session has been cancelled due to the condition of the pitch and there is no prospect of it improving in time.
