Witton’s Women’s team turn their attention to the Challenge Cup on Sunday afternoon when they travel to Warrington Rylands Women in a first round tie.
The game is being played at the third time of asking following two postponements in recent weeks, and hopefully the team can continue their excellent form and progress in the competition.
Warrington Rylands Women are currently bottom of the Championship East Division of the Cheshire Women’s Youth Football League, and have lost seven of their eleven league games so far so Witton will go into the game confident of getting the right result but as we know, cup football can throw up unexpected outcomes.
The game also gives the team the opportunity to test themselves against opposition that they wouldn’t face on a regular basis.
