Warrington Town (Blue) vs Witton Albion Academy (NPLFAC. QF)

Witton’s Academy team are in cup action on Wednesday afternoon when they take on Warrington Town (Blue) in the Quarter Finals of the NPL Football Academy Cup. Warrington have two teams in the competition, the Blues are members of the Chryso Division the section which Witton played in last season. Witton have put in some decent performances in the league so far but the cup like other competitions are a one-off so anything can happen. The fixture sees both teams only two games away from the prospect of appearing in a cup final and the chance to showcase their skills on a Premier League stage, as the final is again to be played at the Bet365 Stadium the home of Stoke City in May. The game is being staged on a 3G Pitch in Skelmersdale and will be played to a finish with extra time and penalties if required to decide who progresses into the last four. Kick off at JMO Sports Park is 1pm.
