Witton’s Academy team return to league action on Wednesday afternoon following the half-term break when they travel to fifth-placed Warrington Town in a Joma Division fixture. Warrington have had a mixed campaign so far and have lost two out of the five “home” games they have played, winning two and one draw. Their away form has been poor having won only once and losing the other four games. Witton have had an excellent season to date and find themselves seven points behind second-placed Radcliffe FC but can close the gap if the results go their way. Witton will be hoping that prolific marksman Owen Wynne can continue the form which has seen him become part of the first team squad in recent weeks, he currently has fourteen goals to his name. Warrington will make things difficult for Witton but, Albion will be looking to keep up the pressure at the top of the table. The fixture is being played at JMO Sports Park in Skelmersdale with a 1pm kick off.
