Shocking performance. I realise we are missing Kinsey, Maguire, Heler & Botham but the effort and committment today was poor.
How the Manager failed to see the inept, out-of-his-depth performance of the No.11 is worrying. Having taken two defenders off for two defenders and then take our only striker off raises more questions about his substitutions. If the defenders had taken a knock fair enough but, honestly, to keep the No.11 on for 90 minutes is unbelievable.
Too many good players missing, maguire, macca, kinsey, heler, botham and the stand ins frankly were not good enough, we huffed and puffed against an average hard working town team but quality was missing all over the pitch, if that is the team for monday I dont expect any points of fylde either, disappointing but we are a low budget team with no squad depth and that is why we will probably and sadly miss out on the playoffs. One other point subs suprised me today, Ben taken off he didnt look injured & bringing Hoult on ? then taking Matt woods off when Josh Hancock had done very little i thought a bit of inspiration & rallying from Pritch might have helped at 1-0 down moving kierney up into midfield where we looked short on experience would have helped.
I have to agree, the number 11 was woeful, hopefully he has got it out of his system and will play better next time. The team looked to be missing the players who were either injured, suspended or otherise engaged and it has to be said that our hopes of a top five place took a severe knock. However, a win against Fylde on Monday night will give us renewed hope so let’s get down to the ground and cheer the lads on. One final comment, full marks to the supporters behind the goal, they got behind the team really well vocally, they deserved a better result.

So it is Eli!!! I will be there. I think Mr. Ogden should play Adams in front of the back four as a holding player, I thought he had a “blinder” at Warrington. As for number 11, I don’t like to be just critical so I will say this, he seemed to be trying, but without much success.

Thought he is the worst player to have donned the Witton shirt in the 48 years of watching them - and I’ve seen some crap over the years!!! Just my opinion.
