Witton make the short trip to Warrington Town on Monday afternoon in an Evo-Stik Premier Division fixture. The Yellows have shown consistency through the majority of the season and are still within sight of the title going into the Bank Holiday programme. Their last two games have seen them take one point from the six available with a draw against Workington, which was followed by a 2-0 defeat to a resurgent Stalybridge Celtic. They did however have a blank Saturday as their game fell victim to the weather. Witton returned to winning ways by beating Hednesford Town after two defeats with Rob Hopley and Steven Tames keeping up their excellent scoring form this season. Warrington will be looking to continue their quest for the title whilst also looking to complete the double over Albion, following their 2-1 success on Boxing Day, a game where Witton might feel rather unfortunate not to take something from it. The Play offs are still a possibility as we near the end of the season and they way results have been with all teams, it could still go to the very last day. Directions: Exit M6 at junction 20 signposted Warrington/Lymm. Enter Warrington and follow signs for A50(Warrington)… Once entering Warrington continue along Grappenhall Road, crossing the swing bridge on the Manchester Ship Canal. After crossing the bridge, turn left immediately and carry straight on. The stadium is on the left as you approach. (Total Distance - 14.1 miles).
