Witton make the short journey to title-chasing Warrington Town in our penultimate Evo-Stik Premier Division fixture on Easter Monday. The Wire are now back in the hun for the title following a mixture of excellent results for themselvesand their rivals dropping points in recent games. It looked unlikely that they would win the title at one stage but things are now that close going into the last two league fixtures that any one of three could still go up as champions. Witton can replicate last season’s achievement of finishing seventh by winning their last two games and should other results go their way. It looked beyond them at one stage due to the home form but results at Wincham Park have seen a big improvement over the past few months. Away from home, they have performed brilliantly and have the chance to take the number of victories on the road into double figures by winning at Warrington. The reverse fixture at Wincham Park was a tight affair and Albion can feel disappointed that they didn’t take something from the game, losing to a stoppage time winner, when their performance deserved better. The season has been an excellent one for the team, they’ve given it everything and they will want to put everything they’ve got into the last two games. Warrington have been consistent through the season and they will certainly need to be at their best to overcome a very determined and resilient Albion team who are more than capable of beating anyone on their day. Kick off at the Winner Recruitment Stadium is 3pm.
