Up the Albs , I think my original post explains my decision .
I cannot give out interview details on a public forum . We would never get any applicants for future positions again if we did that . Imagine you going for interview and the reasons you did or didn’t get the job being made public .
I explained why Carl convinced me so please read back .
Carls record at Marine wasn’t good but neither was Brian’s in the last season , I recall bottom 6 until March that season. And fans venting to sack him back then ! Both had valid football reasons for those hiccups and that was taken into account .
This was my own choice . I’ll stand by it , if I’m wrong I’ll hold my hand up . I was put in that position to make a choice . So when that happens you go with what’s put in front of you , they all say and promise the same it’s very difficult believe me . It’s not X factor .
Like I said I’ve explained how important and vital it was so the decision was not made lightly . I’m a supporter first and foremost so it does effect me … I’m was disappointed no signings were made before Radcliffe , but if you dig deeper it really isn’t as easy as that with the admin rules regulations etc etc . I’m not falling out with anyone . My original opinion was some criticism regardless of you pay your money etc etc. It doesn’t help at this time that’s all . You think I don’t feel it because I do
I have scanned the posts, but all I am getting from it is ‘have blind faith’ in a boardroom that has no idea? Don’t mean to offend anyone but that’s my opinion.
The decision not to appoint Mr Pritchard was apparently taken because he did not interview as well as the man appointed which in my view is fair enough but there has to be more to it as Mr Pritchard is so annoyed he has left the club he loves as have several others. The Board made an awful decision concerning Tuck and I understand there was even talk of bringing him back. Then it made an even worse one in allowing Vics to share our ground, supposedly for financial reasons. A deal with the DEVIL (Rushe.) as far as I am concerned that appears to have done us no good but as predicted as helped our enemy immensely.
This club had a wonderful reputation for honesty and integrity, of being a family,a fans club. Sadly that is simply no longer the case and I for one regret that deeply. So we save ourselves from relegation, so what, when it is a club with no soul like Vics. We now have Rushe at our ground but not Pritch, something is BADLY wrong.
WHS.
Very true WHS. The club has no soul, no integrity, no togetherness anymore and it’s those thing that help to make a club successful
Getting away from the politics side of things,I’ve only been a wittoner for five years.
I took my son to wincham Park for an afternoon out after his mum and I split up and we instantly fell in love with the place.
There was such a good vibe and atmosphere around the place at the time we couldn’t wait for the next game.
Since then I’ve worked the turnstiles, my lad has been mascot, I was even witton willy one afternoon. But now with what’s happening on and off the pitch he doesn’t want to come to the game with me anymore.!
It’s a sad state people and it needs sorting sooner rather than later!!
Thats a real shame. I hope he gets his interest back
Decisions need to be made at a Football Club. Thank you Trevor for putting the time in to help the club do this, amongst other things. And very honourable to try and defend yourself on here. The facts are, you have Witton at heart and you try to make difference. The opinions are was this the decision correct. Let’s see. I hope it works. Trevor, keep doing what you do. If we had 10 of you, no matter what the decisions, Witton would be a better club. I also respect differing opinions on the appointment. Healthy debate but we all just want what is best.
