Telford won 2-1
Funny old game… football seems to be played at least as much in the mind as it is in the body. Telford hadn’t won a game for weeks until last week. Last week’s win gave them confidence, and they won again today. Our win should give us some confidence as well. What a game it will be on Tuesday. Burscough are still the main threat though. They did what we should have done to Grantham.
Well, now we know what we have to do, we must take a point at least off Telford and win our last game to be sure of the title. A win would leave us needing a point from our last game to be sure of the title. A defeat would mean we would have to get a win in our last game and hope that Telford and Burscough draw. Either that or we score a ruck of goals against Frickley, Burscough beat Telford and we win it on goal difference. WHAT A FINISH THIS IS GOING TO BE!!! I believe we will beat Telford and Frickley and that will solve all the possibilities. Confused? You will be!!! I think I am right in saying that providing we beat Frickley in our last game, even if we lose to Telford on Tuesday, we can finish no worse than second which guarantees us home ties in the play offs. Witton, you are driving me nuts!!!

I hope I’m wrong but I have a horrible feeling that the dropped points against Grantham could be crucial. How much easier it would have made things if we had done the business.
