First posting on here for me. Some of you may remember me from the glory (gory?) days…

Well done today - excellent result.

I’ve been supporting from afar over past few seasons but made my come-back at the Grantham game. Now then - the quandry - should I come along and shout them on on Tuersday night or am I the unlucky omen?! I’ll think it over with a beer this evening…

Well done again today Witton. Put yourselves in Burscough and Telford’s shoes for a few seconds - how much worse must it feel if your destiny is in the hands of someone else?! True - Telford can influence but as WHS’s eloquent, if not slightly manic, quote shows…its still very much in our hands. Come on th’albs!

Have just viewed the Whitby website and there are some great pics taken from today’s game of our lads.

lol our (Telford) destiny is in our own hands if we win our last 2 games we have own the title the same goes for you guys

I would put money on three home wins, meaning we win the title and you finish second. I think three draws would do us too.

A few ‘What Ifs’ that i have been mulling over…

WHAT IF we had won every game so far this season. We’d of had it wrapped up weeks ago.

Or, WHAT IF we hadn’t scored stoppage-time winners against Radcliffe, Matlock and Hednesford, and a stoppage-time equaliser against Guisley. We’d be 7 points worse off now, and therefore out of contention.

But WHAT IF we were going into the last 2 games of the season needing to pick up 4 points from 2 home games to clinch the title. Sorry, letting my imagination run away with me there… :wink:

Not worth stressing over points dropped, every team drops points over a season. It’s what you do over a full season that counts, so let’s make sure we wrap it up this week.
