Who's goin Matlock?

well said whs some people forget and ignore all the support us older ones have given to this club over the DECADES that we have supported witton nthrough thick and thin

Don’t mistake the post please - The more Wittoners the merrier - I have a problem with the excuses (The forum doesn’t need to know your reasons why not!!!) I certainly don’t and can’t make every game - The point is WHS we don’t need to know when or where you are or aren’t going to the game, or attending a function. You haven’t been able to be a regular supporter for the last 30 years or so - not a problem and completely understand your reasons.

In reference to Murgys - Its been Hays and Albion chemicals for the last goodness knows how long!

I however still remember your unpalatable post when you stated that watching Witton was a ‘chore’. That stuck in the throat of a lot of the volunteers you so often praise.

As regards ‘time served’ I’ll come back to you a little earlier than your demise - I have seen Witton play on 146 DIFFERENT grounds, over the DECADES! BUT I don’t think it makes me any more of a Wittoner than the person who stands alongside me for the 1st time on a Saturday. All are more than welcome!!!

I’m goin Matlock, I think. Pitch inspection 12.30 apparently according to Wheel Nilson.

Opera ? Play ? Paris ? Bowls ? Work ? Wife ? No I’ll be there weather permitting ,think i will leave the chariot at home and go by longboat for this battle !

I will be there rain or shine. Well, probably not rain as that will mean it’s called off!!

Agree with Cuddy. Nobody is expected to attend every game (although you wouldnt think that from the stick i was getting on the Loughborough bus!!), but likewise there is no requirement to come on here and explain multiple reasons for your absense. If you can go; then go. If you can’t; then try and go to the next game. Nobody needs a note from home if you can’t make a game - it isn’t compulsory.

I have to ask though, is Cuddy actually Danny again in disguise?!?

Can’t see that Robbo - far too old and battle hardened like the rest of us by the sounds of it. Plus isn’t he in America hiding from Phil and Jim!!!

Up the Albs

Careful, you are putting yourself into contention there!!!

Glad we are not at loggerheads Cuddy. Murgy’s was Murgy’s when I arrived in 1973 and was still Murgy’s when I left 30 odd years later!! Onwards and Upwards the Albs.
WHS.
