Who's goin Matlock?

After a great performance by the lads today who’s going the replay on tuesday night? A game we have a great chance of winning based on today… Come on let’s get there in numbers and get behind the lads. Yeeeellllllllloooowwwwwwssssss!

If this was Facebook, i would ‘Like’ your post!

See you there.

I am going in my car. Leaving the ground at 4.00ish. (going the scenic route)

I have 4 spaces if anybody wants a lift.

I have to say that I will not be going to Matlock, it is a Godawful drive, and there is no way I can get to the ground before 4-30pm or so and even then it would be straight from work. Why couldn’t we have that bit of luck that would have saved us from a replay? Still, we got a decent gate considering the weather and we certainly have a chance at Matlock if we give it the same kind of effort we gave today. See you all next Saturday for another vital game.
WHS.

short trip over the hills so no excuse for not getting over there, believe they have a new stand and clubhouse. players need you, lets show them what its like to take some supporters away from home.

The support today was just brilliant best its been (at home anyway!) for ages “small town near Buxton” brilliant!

I just can’t make it on Tuesday due to work so come on the Albs we were the better team today conditions were awfull we CAN win the replay!!

“short trip over the hills”? It is a horrendous drive at the best of times for an old man like me. I drove there a few seasons ago when I was a bit younger, I did it straight from work at Murgy’s after a 12 hour shift. The drive there went on forever but the drive back was a nightmare, pitch black and raining!! Sorry I will be “watching” this game on here!!
WHS

It’s not the best of journeys but it will be well worth the effort.
We know we can beat them and our travelling support makes a big difference.
Hopefully the pitch will be ok.
Come on you Yellows!!

My praise and best wishes go to all the keen Wittoners who make the trip, let us hope the team get the result they need and deserve.

Unfortunately, I will have to withdraw this offer, as I have to work in Bury until late afternoon.

I will be travelling straight from work, so hopefully, see you all there.

WHS - Witton have probably played at Matlock 30 times since your Murgy’s days - don’t act like you’d have gone - cos you obviously haven’t in the past.

Please don’t feel the need to make excuses - its nice to see you when you can make it but noone expects you to be there more than 1 game in 5.

WITTONERS - See you there tomorrow be loud and be proud - we are Mid Cheshires sole representatives in this competition!!!

Im working in yorkshire tomorrow and shall be heading straight to matlock at 5pm, been on their forum and the cocky b*****ds think they have won it already!!! lets make some noise tomorrow like we did on saturday and who knows we may even get a couple of verses of our new song

Does anyone know if they have a club inside the ground at the moment? the old shed has been demolished and is currently used as a car park till work begins on a new stand so not sure if we can get a pint once we get inside

I believe we are playing in the red/white strip, just in case you have a choice of shirt.

Dear Cuddy,
I left Murgy’s just 5 years ago so I have missed just 4 visits. I am not aware there is any rule that says to be a Wittoner you have to attend every game. When I was a youngster I attended virtually every game, home and away, floodlight league, you name it, but that sort of committment is difficult to maintain as you get older and other things become priorities, like making a living!! I worked shift work for 30 years so doing anything every week was difficult, my main priorities were my family, still are. When you have watched as many games as I have come back and moan at me then, you probably won’t be able to because I will probably be dead and gone.
WHS.

Well said WHS. Just because you cannot attend every game does not mean that you are less passionate about the Albion than anyone else.

Me thinks Cuddy has stepped over the mark.
Thanks for the dress code TT.

Standing water on Matlock pitch today (their forum), forcast heavy rain there tomorrow morning and light rain till the afternoon…mmmmmmmm!

Well in some ways it might be good if it is called off, it will give more Wittoners the chance to organise going to the game, including me.
WHS.

I think it will do Matlock more favours than us calling it considering their injuries, having said that it will give Booth Ruffer Brodie moseley a chance too, Also a weeks rest before Sheffield and then the Glapwell game off might work in our favour too. The joys of football lol
