Witton tread new ground on Saturday afternoon, when they make the relatively short trip to Widnes FC in a Northern Premier League West Division fixture.

Buoyed by their Mid Cheshire District FA Senior Cup victory against an in-form 1874 Northwich a week ago, Albion look to pick up their first league win since beating Macclesfield FC in early September.

The two clubs have never met before in a league fixture but they did clash in a League Cup tie in September 2018 at the U Lock It Stadium, goals from Will Jones & Matty Devine giving the Albion a narrow 2-1 win.

The aforementioned Will Jones could be lining up for Widnes following his recent move from City of Liverpool FC, where he has linked up again with his former boss Michael Ellison.

Forward Jesse Dowling rejoined the club last week ironically from Widnes, so he is likely to make a quick return to face his former team mates.

Three vital points are on offer and Witton will be looking to get the right result as they bid to climb the table but Widnes have similar ambitions so a tough encounter can be expected.

Kick off at The DCBL Stadium is 3pm.

Do we know if there is any fitness issues?

Jackson and Koral should return but, I am guessing Kennerley will begin his three match ban now.

Early days but a must win game if we are going to start climbing the table.

Yes think thats right not heard of anyone else missing so I guess it will be

Martin
Koral, Harrison, Hitchcox, Jackson
Haywood, Williams, Barrow, Rokka
Reed, Duckworth.

Jon may well pick McGee over Haywood but not for me. He may even leave Haywood at right back and play McGee, we will see. UTA
