Will Oggy return ?

Would not be surprised if he does not !

What do you know Eli that nobody else knows? We all know that you have access to info from the inside!!

No inside info I am afraid - Just keep my ear to the ground and it’s funny how much you can find out. We don’t always get the full story from the boardroom and I suppose some things are not for the public domain but from what I have heard the supporters deserve to know more.

Eli You tease, of course we want to know, but so long as the club deal with things in the right way and if that includes washing our dirty washing indoors then good, if Oggy has finished for whatever reason we have 2 great people in the hot seat and lets focus on getting behind them, I would like to see some form of summer fund raiser to give them a better budget to push on next year maybe a summer saver club where supporters commit to £5 or £10 a week into a playing budget ? Id be up for that- because I trust the 2 guys in charge and the chairman to spend it wisely ! there areafter all only wittoners who can make a difference.

I personally feel that we know all we need to know. As CJ says, we have 2 committed guys doing the job now, and that’s all that’s important. To paraphrase Kenny Dalglish, the most important people to Witton Albion are the ones who are at the club now.

A good way of helping to get funds into the club is to support the Beer Festival i reckon. That’s a big thing for Witton, and if it succeeds then it could be an annual money-spinner.

Another season wasted. Back to square 1 in my opinion. No longer term vision whatsoever!

Know where u are coming from SBL but I would not say it was a wasted season. True we need to get out of this league asap but as said by others I think we have got it right at the top now to push on.

Visions are dreams and imaginative ideas but this league is reality and you have to get out of it for the sake of players and supporters alike.

I would say it is our longer-term vision that we are concentrating on. We haven’t thrown money we can’t afford at trying to compete with teams we couldn’t dream of competing with. Financially we have kept on a level-footing, which means we still have a sustainable football club. We haven’t followed the boom and bust method favoured by so many other teams. There is plenty of be proud of in our Club.

A football club doesn’t just exist from August to April, and success isn’t just measured by where we finish up in the league table. We’ll be here again in July regardless of anything else, as we have been for 125 years. If we keep doing things the right way then we’ll still be here in another 125 years.

We have probably had over 100 ‘wasted seasons’, so another one wont kill us. As long as we survive to compete again next year, then to me it’s not been a waste.

The post , Robbo, is the most sense you’ve made…in the world…ever!

I completely agree!

I sometimes get really dispirited with another new manager, another new team, but surely with financial prudence the mighty Albs will rise up…eventually!
