Vics in the final gives this game real meaning, get down and cheer on the lads UTA
Defo. Let’s get the job done and then show the green and white shite what the ONE team in Northwich is all about!!! COME ON WITTON
I really hope we win on tuesday and give v*ics a good turning over in the final. Lets be honest it could be the last time we meet the slimey ones as we have always known them and it would be great to give them a good old witton send off
I’ll be glad to get this out of the way to be honest.
Meaningless competition that more often than not just gets in the way.
Should be either a pre-season cup or scrapped.

Agree here Left Pegger, the Cheshire Senior cup is alright but Mid-Cheshire should be pre-season at most.
We’ve got a league game on Thursday too so this could be a case of both teams’ second string going up against each other. Would be nice to get to the final but I certainly won’t be losing any sleep if we miss out.
Let’s hope the Cheshire FA act to make it a pre-season event over a week or 10 days. It might help the season preps more than mere friendlies and the crowds could be half decent for certain games. How do we put pressure on them to make this happen?
With my Mid-Cheshire FA hat on, I can say that moving this competition to a pre-season event is currently work in progress. There is an enormous amount of agreement to be made, but following a suggestion by our Chairman, I produced a model of how this would work and presented it to the FA.
It seems to be going down well, but the 2013/14 competition will come too soon to run it this summer. If all goes well and sufficient agreement is reached, it could be in place for 2014/15.
Im looking forward to tonights game and hopefully we may get a half decent crowd even though it clashes with England on the telly!
A win tonight produces a Witton v V**s final and i would be very interested in how many 1874 fans would come and either support us against JRFC or actually cheer on the team they USED to support :-\
What news?
Got beat 2-1 and deservedly so. Deadline day is on Thursday and after tonight we’re desperate for a defender should definitely see about Winsfords no.4 Maynard. Very disappointing performance.
Not a great result or display shocking defending well done winsford
last nights performance goes to show how much we need our 2 regular fullbacks
Back to the bad old days , I thought. Lack of verbal and physical leadership on the pitch. For most of the game all you could hear was Winsford encouraging each other. They showed a lot of fight and even though we came back after the customary slow start, they still had more clear chances in the 2nd half.
The icing on the cake was the late pathetic attempts to play offside, which worked a couple of times and then punished us. Anyway, most of the frozen few were dreading extra time so let’s be thankful we avoided that. Some first team regulars seem to have gone off the boil - let’s hope it’s a blip.
Oh, and at least we saw another goal from the great Mike Moseley - others could learn from his example.
Poor performance last night, but in fairness that’s probably the best Winsford team we’ve played in a fair few years.
With Ben Harrison limping off, I’ll be disappointed if we don’t sign a CB before the deadline. Agree that Maynard was impressive, and Winsford fans have been raving about him all season.
Was surprised to see both teams played a strong side. It seemed as though we were just much more up for it, but it was a nice surprise to get the win and it seems it has given our lads a lot of confidence.
In some ways this game was a win-win situation, win and you’re through to the final, but lose and you don’t have to struggle to fit yet another fixture in.
Good luck for the rest of the season. And please, I beg you, don’t take Lois Maynard

You’re right, I don’t. I was just trying to be civil. And I have to fill the void by joining any other forum and jumping in whenever the possibility of a Winsford discussion arises.
So see you again when you sign Lois Maynard and a couple of others, and at next year’s Mid-Cheshire Senior Cup semi
Good luck vs vics winsford, I could tell we were not taking it seriously when we played 4 5 1 at home v a team 2 leagues lower, we hardly had a shot till we went 4 4 2 we may have a strongish side out but there did not seem a lot of interest in us winning to be honest, we may as well have played the resides in it.
