A “BIG” thanks to all who attended last nights ball, and for your help in raising much needed funds for our Club, thanks to Pete and Staff for putting up with us, Pea-shooters and all! once again Food and service was excellent.
Thanks to Tracy Love and Yazz for selling the Raffle tickets and congratulations to “Big and Gorgeous Neil Wilson” on winning the Christmas Hamper.
Another good night from JAP Promotions. Thank you Jim and Annmarie. The Soul Society were as good as ever but what about the support act " The New Carpemters ".
Well Done and Thank You to Jim and Co. for organising a fantastic event once again, that many hotels and specialist venues would charge a lot more money for.
The people (non football people) who I bring along every year love the event, and can’t believe that it isn’t SOLD OUT every year.
Thanks to all the people who did attend/donate to or buy raffle tickets.
The only downside of the night was again the lack of numbers of people in attendance (80ish -thats only 40 couples) and again we are relying on the same group of people and their friends to support, I am not sure what more we can do - priced competitively, excellent value for money, plenty of notice for anyone wishing to attend.
Maybe it was a tinpot competition or this goddam league - Sorry thats for other threads.
So we’ve tried race nights/ discos/ live bands and glamorous balls, with ticket prices from £2.50 to £30. What events will people support or is this just the way it is?
Again thanks to Jim who whilst running his own business has put loads of time into ensuring another event has ran fantastically well, and ending on a positive has raised vital money to go towards funding YOUR Football Team.
I managed to twist the better half’s arm into attanding the day before. Thank god I did, because it was a fantastic night from start to finish!
Special note must go to the gatemen go go dancers, who entertained us from the first dance to the last, and the musicians with the tamborines were out of this world. I was out of breath for most of the night, but this was most probably due to the battle I had with Mike Blundell…I think I won.
Just like to add my thanks for the efforts in organising of Jim Powell and family. Any event is hard enough but something with that bit extra is even more difficult so many thanks for taking the time and effort and ultimately raising some funds to support the club.
The hamper was an added bonus and you get the basket back!!
