Witton Albion Academy vs Belper Town.

Witton’s Academy team’s next game in the ESP Football Academy Northern Division is at home to Belper Town on THURSDAY, 20th JANUARY.

The game is being played at the U Lock It Stadium with a 12pm kick off.

Witton’s Academy team are in action on Thursday afternoon when they welcome Belper Town in an ESP Football Academy Northern Division fixture.

Both teams are still looking for their first league win of the season and occupy the bottom two places in the table although Albion have drawn more games than anyone else.

Belper’s last game saw them beat Mickleover FC 3-1 in the cup, so they can take confidence from that game going into this crucial fixture.

Albion came up against a rampant Runcorn Linnets and suffered a hammering in which they conceded ten goals, a performance that Coach Martyn Irvine described as “embarrassing.”

The two sides played out a 1-1 draw in Derbyshire six weeks ago with Harry Caulkin equalising for the Albion after Thomas Pegg had given Belper the lead.

Both teams really need that first victory so they can move on from there but, it will be another difficult test and there may not be much between the teams come the final whistle.

The game is being played at the U Lock It Stadium with a 12pm kick off.
