Witton’s Academy team are in action again on Thursday when they welcome Brighouse Town in an ESP Football Academy Northern Division fixture.

Performances have improved in recent weeks but Brighouse are looking to complete the league double over Witton following their victory in West Yorkshire earlier in the season.

A quickfire hat-trick from Brighouse striker Paul Ikoe and a further goal before half time, gave the Yorkshire side a comfortable lead at the break but Albion fought back in the second half, as goals from Zach Williams and Mike Eleftheriadis gave the score some respectability.

Last week’s cup defeat to leaders Runcorn Linnets will be a disappointment but the team are pushing in the right direction and will be hoping to pick up their first win of the season.

Kick off at The U Lock It Stadium is 12pm.
