Witton Albion Academy vs Leek Town.

Witton’s Academy Team are in action on Wednesday afternoon when they welcome Leek Town in an NPL Football Academy - Joma Division fixture. Witton current situation in fourth place in the table, one place below Wednesday 's opponents following a draw and a win from their previous two fixtures. They will be looking to continue their recent form and hopefully pick up three more points as they try to close on the leaders. The second goal was the best I have seen anywhere this, season!!

Good 2nd half by Witton, but couldn’t convert our supremacy into goals. I thought their number 5 was very good…a young Prince Haywood in the making. A good standard of football played by both sides, and I enjoyed the game.

Was following the game on the NPL Football Academy Twitter feed but didn’t get any updates after half time.

Very impressed by our 3, 6, and 9 even though he missus a real sitter.

Centre forward was Owen Wynne, finished last season as the Academy Team 's leading goalscorer and has already found the net twice this time.

Maybe so but his miss today was one that will haunt him for a day or two!!

Leek had several very good young players, Witton did well to give them such a tight game.
