Witton Albion Res v's Mossley Res

Can’t give you much info, as there was no tannoy or match sheet. The only one I did know was Ben Harrison, who played the 1st Half. Possibly giving him a runout before a possible first team outing over the weekend??

Mossley had a good passing game, and caused us lots of problems, especially there No 11, who looked very good running at our defence. They deservedly went 2-0 and looked to be strolling it.

However, a late substitution at the end of the first half saw our No 16 head home from a deep cross. The same player I think was on the mark early in the 2nd half, collecting a free-kick pass in the box, with his back to goal. He turned his marker, and slotted in a sweet goal. I believe he played for Rossendale last season, with some games for Curzon

The game got a bit fiesty after this with several bookings on both sides, and even when Mossley went down to 10 men following a straight red, they still looked the stronger side.

Our No 4 also deserves a mention for a solid performance.

Final Score 2-2

Hopefully, somebody can reply to this post to fill in the names of the players.

Finally, the floodlights looked great.

Cannot help with names TT but when i watched the team against Cheadle,i was very impressed.A big blonde haired lad came on at the start of the second half and he had a great touch. He got on the ball straight away and had a good range of passing. He also took a great free-kick that lead to the goal.

Tony had them playing good football that night.

I believe the number 4 was Tom Smith who impressed watching first team manager Paul Ogden. Talking with Reserves Manager Tony Ennion in the club afterwards, Smith is due to sign first team forms on Monday.
