Witton Albion Reserves vs Alsager Town (Crewe FAC2).

Witton Reserves take a break from league action on Saturday afternoon when they welcome Alsager Town in the Second Round of the Crewe & District FA Cup. Albion go into the game on the back of a very strong performance against Sandbach Town last weekend, and will be looking to progress further in the competition. Having already accounted for the current holders Crewe FC in the previous round, Witton will be confident but at the same time not underestimating their opponents. Should the game be drawn after 90 minutes, a period of extra time will be played and then if the scores are still level the tie will be decided on penalties. Kick off at Moss Farm is 1.30pm.

Crewe & District FA Cup Second Round:

Witton Albion Reserves 0 Alsager Town 2.

Witton Reserves bowed out of the Crewe & District FA Cup on Saturday afternoon at the hands of a very strong Alsager Town.

The Bullets took control in the first half and went in two goals up courtesy of a penalty and a header from a free kick, Albion’s best effort coming from a Max Linaker shot which struck the woodwork from 20 yards out.

Witton’s performance in the second half was much improved in a feisty affair, which saw a number of bookings on Alsager’s side and the dismissal of Albion captain Mazn Amhamed late on for retaliation.
