Witton Albion Reserves are scheduled to be in action on Saturday afternoon when they welcome leaders Sandbach Curshaws FC in a Crewe & District Football League Premier Division fixture. The game gives Witton the opportunity to get some match time, following almost a month of inactivity. Albion’s last outing was at the beginning of the month when they shocked Crewe FA Cup holders Crewe FC, by knocking them out of this season’s competition. The league table has one unusual statistic about it at present, as the visitors and current leaders go into the weekend programme with a minus goal difference having passed long time leaders Club AZ, partly due to the lack of games for other clubs in recent weeks. Witton will be hoping to get their season back on track again and looking to impose themselves in what promises to be a difficult test. Kick off at Moss Farm is 2pm.
