Witton Albion Squad Update 2015/16

Announcement from the Witton Albion manager, Scott Dundas:

Scott has spoken to a number of last season’s squad and is now awaiting their response. He will update as and when he can.

Scott is also delighted to announce that Jon Dawson, has agreed to stay with the club for the forthcoming season.

Great news re John Dawson, if everyone last season had put the effort in he did and cared ! we would have been mid table at least smashing lad.

I think even us “Old Foggies” recognise that with the internet, mobile phones etc it is impossible to keep anything secret for very long, ask the CIA!!!

Didn’t rate him to be honest.[/quote]

The original post was unessesarily unkind, and that has compounded it…no need.

It was unkind of him not to give back all the money we paid him. He did get us relegated after all

Absolute tosh a manager out of his depth and a squad of under performing players got us relegated. As a team we got what we deserved now move on.

Dean Porter has decided to join Premier Division, Skelmersdale United. Understandably he wanted to play at Premier Division level at least. Had Witton not been relegated, Dean would have stayed.

Good luck to Dean, a great lad who had the misfortune to miss most of the season thru injury yet still attended all games home & away and was one of the few players who spoke to the fans after we were relegated, he was genuinely gutted.

And THAT is just vicious and stupid, for goodness sake grow up.

Midfielder Luke Clark has become the latest player to leave Wincham Park, following his decision to accept an offer from an un-named Conference club.

Shame, but not surprised.

Luke often showed he had the skill to play for a higher level, and Tony really rated him.

Luke certainly had the skill and an eye for pass but he lacked a tackle and after an hour he was a passenger in most games he will struggle at conference I think but good luck to him !

What happened to Mike Koral, I know he had several injuries and was finishing his degree ! But at times he looked good and with a good preseason would be good at our new level ? And still only young.

I spoke to Mike towards the end of last season. He was apparently doing a degree at university. Not sure what will happen next season though.

Any news on Titch or Josh yet?

Further announcements are expected later this week but have no idea what they will be. The only thing I can say is that Titch has now returned from holiday.

Titch staying is an important piece of the jigsaw. His experience and quality at that level would be a real bonus.

Yes, Titch is a big asset at this level and he’s been successful in the past. The other aspect of his situation with the club is his role with the academy and the soccer schools. I would imagine that will also play a part in the discussions about his future at the club but we await the outcome.

Also whether the new manager wants Titch of course…obviously he would be mad not to!

Alex Titchener is a grand lad and whatever he decides to do I wish him all the very best. He is a joy to watch so I hope he will be with Witton for a while longer.
