A depleted and injury-ravaged Witton side turned up for this game expecting the worst, but were pleasently suprised to see their opposition turn up with just 5 players for this top of the table clash.

With Chadwick injured, Drew on hiatus, Blundell in Whitby, Dann injured, Si Gregory unavailable, Grazzer drunk, Neil high on lucozade, and Tom Green somewhere on the M6 with a speeding ticket in-hand, Witton were so desperate that they even asked Yox to play - luckily he couldn’t make it. However, this did mean that Robinson and Clarke were forced to line up - despite both players nursing injuries that should really have kept them out.

The 1 man advantage saw Witton start slowly, and Dream Team could have taken the lead early on. However, once Carter had put Witton ahead, there was only ever going to be one winner.

Adam Clarke added a second before half time, before Carter wrapped up the points mid-way through the second half.

Robinson could have put the cherry on the cake late on, but his shot from close-range was well saved by the keeper.

Another clean sheet for Crouch, and the win keeps the pressure on Winsford with the 2 sides due to meet in 2 weeks.
