Big crowd expected - get there early !

We’re locking the gates at 3.15pm so if you’re not in then you miss out!!!

What else are you going to do on a Sunday that you didn’t end up doing yesterday?!

Witton Albion Supporters 0-2 KFC.

So the boys outside chance of the title were extinquished in a mad 3 minute spell midway through the 1st half

Manager Robinson opted to change the line up and drop himself in order to give others a chance (History will be the judge as to the wisdom of this decision

Poor defending and positional indiscipline left Drew exposed in defence for both goals which effectively killed the game as a contest.

WASFC came back strong in the closing stages of the 1st half and tried to take the game to a strong KFC in the 2nd half, but despite constant probing and some good efforts the KFC defence held strong.

Team :- Blundell,Green,Haspell,Prew,Chadwick,Marshall,Stuart,Carter and Carter.

MOM - Struggling to be fair - Drew and Scott Carter were probably the better of the bunch.

That pretty much sums it up Chad. We were horribly exposed in those 3 minutes of madness and they punished us.

If it wasn’t for their keeper making a couple of brilliant saves we would have scored, but that’s football!

However, we’ve had numerous chances to go top of the league this season, but across the whole campaign we haven’t quite been good enough.

Hopefully we’ll finish this season on a high, and win it next time.

It wasn’t a vintage performance yesterday, but KFC needed the win to almost guarantee the league so they were well up for it. However, they were only better than us for about 5 minutes out of the 26 in all honesty.

We shouldn’t be too downhearted though, as we have made alot of progress over the last 6 months. Last season we finished 4th, but were a long way off the top. This season we look like finishing 3rd - which is an improvement in itself - but were still in the hunt with just 2 games remaining.

Providing we learn from the mistakes we made this season, then i’m sure next time out we will do even better.

The added bonus is that there is now an ‘official’ Vics Supporters Team in the league - http://www.nvfc.co.uk/board/index.php?topic=1949.0

I think it was posted by that fat, blonde, gobby lad that Greenie keeps winding up. Lack of players - I’m sure the others might have something to say about that - they don’t particularly like him anyway, perhaps thats why?!!

As we agreed earlier in the year, at the end of each season we will vote on who will manage the team for the following season. As Sunday is our last game, and i expect the league to follow-on the week after, then we need to know by full time on Sunday if anybody else wants to put their name forward.

If you feel that the team should be run differently, or that you could help it progress, then put your name forward. If you keep quiet now then you can’t complain later!!

If anybody is interested in putting their name forward, then we can vote on this before the first game of the new season.

I would suggest that anyone who wants to do this sends Si Rabbit a PM on here before Sunday’s game, and Si can call a meeting at the Albion Arms if one is required.

Thanks.

We were horribly exposed in those 3 minutes of madness and they punished us :o
