Witton Albion Supporters FC v Northwich Allstars

Sunday 4th November @ 2pm

RED kit, but bring blue shirts along.

Due to crowd congestion only just got back from the game. Outstanding victory by the boys . Jim will surely be promoting some of these boys to the first team in the near future. Impressed by Big Stu’s first touch even if it was the only one he had.
Well done boys !

Your team played well. And i have to admit that northwich allstars were playing abit dirty, it has to be one of the most aggressive matches with both teams shouting at each other. Was very funny at the end of the match when the little kid started shouting at the witton players and he was getting very wound up  If that made any sense ???
good match today, very well played.

Witton Albion Supporters 3 - 0 Northwich Allstars

Green (2)
Prew

As the saying goes ‘If it was boxing they’d have stopped it’

A totally one sided game with the only query being over the margin of victory. Northwich managed just one feeble effort on target in a game where Witton Supporters carved out chance after chance. After sustained pressure, and a number of chances created by Chadwick for Blundell, Green, and most notably Scott Carter which struck a post, it was left to chunky utility player Tom Green to open the scoring with a low shot from close range.

Half Time 1-0

The second half started in much the same vein and it was Shaggy lookalike Graham Prew who doubled the advantage soon after the restart, following an incisive ball from Marshall whose pre match night routine of Lucozade, Shandy and an early night obviously paid dividends.

On another day Prew could and should have bagged a hat-trick. Green continued to be a thorn in the side of Northwich and it was no surprise when he got his second of the game following good work from Prew.

In truth Albion were guilty of overplaying as everyone seemed anxious to get on the score sheet. In one foray Stuart beat the same man 3 times, and Robinson nearly had his second goal from full 20 yards, when a pass would have surely yielded more reward.

A convincing performance, another clean sheet and a great end to another good week for the club.

MOM - Thomas Green - 2 well taken goals and a solid performance.
NB - Gregory John Anthony Marshall - Good distribution, clean sheet and another match winning pass!

Attendance - 7 - Eli Gorton could be the subject of a banning order after his outrageous comments from the sidelines! ;D

Thanks to Andy for doing the Match Report.
