Witton Albion Supporters FC v Northwich Vics S.C.

Sunday 30th March @ 2pm

RED AND WHITE STRIPES for this one please.

Previous Meetings:

Witton beat their local rivals 2 -1 last time out, but will be looking to perform much better on this occasion.

Without wanting to tempt fate; it has to be noted that Witton have a 100% record against Northwich.

Current Form:

Witton - WWDDD (For 12, Against 5)
V*cs - LLLDL (For 2, Against 13)

Top Scorers:

Witton- Graham Prew, 5 goals
V*cs - Sam Pillott, 2 goals

Witton from:

Robinson, Marshall, Scott Carter, Prew, Johnson, Crouch, Jones, Blundell, Chadwick, Clarke, Fallows.

One to watch:

Adam Clarke showed an impressive array of tricks during last weekend’s training session - just don’t let him shoot when there’s a scrapyard near-by…

Mile-Stones:

Graham Prew could score his 15th goal for the team. Blundell could make his 40th appearance.

Interesting Fact:

Witton’s 2pm kickoff allows them to be sat comfortably infront of a TV by the time the Mersyside derby kicks off.

Does that mean Adam has proven Mike Bassett wrong and actually could hit the side of a Renault Espace:laugh:

Match Squad for Sunday (please inform me of any drop outs asap);

Crouch
Robinson
Marshall
Sc Carter
Blundell
Prew
Chadwick
Clarke
Johnson

1st Reserve - Stuart
2nd Reserve - Jones

how do u get involved to play for this team???

good luck for sunday boys, lets have a big win!

Witton Albion S.C. 5 (Five) - Northwich Vix S.C. 0 (nil,zip,)
Clarke
Carter
Blundell
Prew 2

A routine victory and walk in the park for the Albion boys, against a pretty poor side in green and white!

How we pray for that to happen next Boxing Day!

Albion took the game to V*cs pretty much from the first whistle and following a sustained period of pressure Adam CLARKE finished cooly when one on one with the keeper, the second goal saw Scott CARTER put in by Clarke and again he finished with applomb. PREW added a third just before half time.

The second half saw PREW’s twinkle toes to quick for the V*cs defenders, scoring his 2nd and Albion’s fourth, before Mike Blundell’s solo effort from Chadwick’s 30 yard through ball;) rounded the scoring off.

Albion in truth could have doubled their tally but fine goalkeeping and the metalwork denied them and particlarly Adam Clarke on a number of occasions.

At the other end Crouch was only called into action on a couple of occasions, and the combined defensive efforts of Marshall, Robinson, DJ, Chad (despite his back heel)ensured another clean sheet.

Team :- Crouch, Robinson,Marshall,Carter,Chadwick,Clarke. Subs Prew, Johnson, Blundell.

MOM - Clarke

Thanks for your interest.

Either;

a) Hunt 1 of us out on a Saturday to discuss
b) Come down on a Sunday and speak to us there
c) Come for a kickabout next time we arrange something on here

You forgot the fact there was a bumper gate on Yesterday for the local derby!

Yes i was worried we would freeze infront of the big crowd!!
