Witton Rating ***
Match Rating ****

Despite Witton now stretching their un-beaten run to 10 games, a Mike Blundell hatrick, and Andy Chad ending his 8-match barren spell, the mood in the camp is decidedly sombre this morning following an horrific injury to Graham Prew.

With the game barely 10 minutes old, Prew’s standing foot slipped from under him and he fell to the floor. Not realising the seriousness of the incident Witton played on, with Clarke playing Blundell in for the opener. With the ball dead, it became apparent that Prew was in some discomfort - and he infact left the pitch in an ambulance after the game.

The injury to Prew made the rest of the match something of a non-event. However, this should not detract from an excellent hatrick by Mike Blundell, and a superbly-taken goal from Andy Chadwick. Add to this a hard working cameo from Stu Jones, and it should of been a good day at the office.

The latest news from Prew is that his ankle was dislocated and broken. He is due to have an operation today.

Real shame about Prew, hope he gets well soon.

That woman paramedic was a bit arsey wasn’t she!

Hope Prew recovers soon.

Lets face it, he’s still better than most of us with 1 functioning leg…

Exactly what i said at the time!
