Witton Rating ***

Witton’s title dream officially ended yesterday, as they are now 4 points off top-spot with only 3 games left to play.

The afternoon had begun with such promise as KFC lost 1 - 0, meaning Witton could close the gap to 2 points with a win. But despite a first half littered with chances, Witton just couldn’t break the deadlock.

In the end 2 defensive lapses allowed Winsford to take the points, and put themselves into an excellent position in regards to the title-chase.

The afternoon was further marred for the Albion, as Dave Johnson managed to injure himself whilst taking his tracksuit bottoms off…

It’s another game that we could have won and I suppose we’ve only got ourselves to blame. Can’t fault the workrate however but it just wasn’t our day.

Chad was by far and away the outstanding player on the pitch, his pacemaker must be working a treat… ;D
