Interesting Fact:

If Witton win on Sunday then they will be just 1 point behind Winsford with 2 games to play.

If any Witton supporters have a free half hour on Sunday, then please try and find your way down to John Deane’s at 2pm to cheer the lads on. It’s been a great season for the Supporters Team, and it would be great to see some familiar faces on Sunday.

Anticipation is building for this crunch fixture!

Latest news is that Andy Chadwick’s cameo appearance on a beach in Spain has re-ignited his hunger for goals.

Graham Crouch picked up a knock during training on Tuesday, and will be trying not to put too much weight on his ankle. In Crouchy’s case, this is pretty much an impossible task… :stuck_out_tongue:

All in all a MASSIVE game. If Winsford win then they pick up the title with 2 games to spare, but if Witton can win it will really keep the pressure on.

Lets hope that Chad can shed his “holiday weight” in time for the match!!

The mood in the Witton camp is confident, the Winsford team have failed to beat us this season and as far as we’re concerned it’s just another game. We have to win all 3 games and that’s what we intend to do.

I can only reiterate Mark’s words, if anyone is at a loose end on Sunday come along and cheer us on, your support is needed and will be much appreciated!!

As I can’t make it on Sunday will somebody text me live score updates?!

There will be a break in play during the cricket for live updates!!

what do the letters FW next to young chads name stand for.

Toneee youare thinking it is “Cop******g self abuser”.Ney,ney I think FW stands for forward.

Good game, with Witton on top for most of the game. We nearly won it late on but the Winsford keeper made a great triple save. Unfortunately, with Witton pushing forward, as a draw was no good, Winsford caught us on the break and won the game very late on. Final score Witton 0 Winsford 1.

Witton Rating ****
Match Rating ***

Witton had to settle for 2nd place as a cruel last-minute Winsford winner won them the league.

In truth it was a win that was hardly deserved, with Witton doing all of the attacking. Winsford knew a draw would suffice, and therefore didn’t commit numbers into attack.

With just a few minutes remaining, and the score at 0 - 0, Witton threw 4 men forward in an attempt to win the game. It almost worked as the Winsford keeper made a fantastic triple-save, before Winsford went straight down the other end of the pitch to score the winning goal.

So with 2 games remaining Witton are almost guaranteed 2nd place, as only a massive reversal in goal-difference will allow 3rd placed Tangtastics to catch them.

Just like undercoat paint - No FINISH:laugh:

it was the first time all season that we had failed to score…

If it had’nt been for Crouchy u would have got hammered !
