Witton Albion U21's Development Squad vs 1874 Northwich.

Witton’s U21’s Development Squad are in action on Sunday afternoon when they welcome neighbours 1874 Northwich in a North West U21 Development League Premier Division fixture. Witton go into the game sitting thrird from bottom in the league after their last outing ended in defeat against Irlam FC. 1874 currently find themselves in mid-table after two wins & two defeats from their last five games and their fixtures certainly haven’t been boring affairs as they score goals but, also have a tendency to concede them as well. Amongst their playing staff is likely to be former Witton striker Kyle Phipps, who began the season scoring goals regularly for the Albion Youth team but found progress rather limited so moved onto 1874 Northwich where he has also been a part of their first team squad in recent weeks - as recently as Saturday in the league fixture against our tenants Northwich Victoria. Witton will be looking to put on a performance and hopefully get a positive result as they aim to move away from the lower end of the table. The fixture promises to be a tough encounter and who knows, there may be plenty of goals. Kick off at Moss Farm is 4pm.
