Witton’s U21’s Development Squad are back in action again on Sunday afternoon when they welcome AFC Knowsley U21’s in a North West U21’s Development League Premier Division fixture.
Last weekend’s game against Runcorn Linnets was postponed due to the wintry weather conditions so Witton have had a fortnight without any football since their last game against local rivals 1874 Northwich, which ended in a 7-1 defeat.
AFC Knowsley will be looking to complete the league double over Witton following their narrow victory on Merseyside a few weeks ago but Albion can count themselves rather unfortunate not to take anything from the game after a determined performance.
Ten straight defeats going into the game but the effort and commitment remains to overcome what has been a difficult season for the lads so far but hard work and that little bit of luck which everyone needs can turn everything round.
