Witton Albion U21's Development Squad vs Barnton FC U21's (PSF).

Witton’s U21’s Development Squad are in action on Wednesday night when they welcome neighbours Barnton FC U21’s in their latest pre season friendly. We are extremely grateful to everyone at Barnton FC, for stepping in at very short notice following the cancellation of the scheduled friendly at Ford Motors. Witton’s U21’s are still looking for their first win in the pre season programme but aspects of their performances so far, give the management team cause for optimism in the future. Neil Murray’s team at present consists of a lot of youngsters who are in the early stages of their development but are willing to put the effort in and work hard. With their determination the lads can only improve and progress but they need supporting just like any other team. Tonight’s game gives them the opportunity to perform and hopefully gain more match fitness in the process as they approach the new season next month. The game is being played at Wincham Park with a 7pm kick off.

Full Time Score from Wincham Park:

Witton Albion U21’s Development Squad 0 Barnton FC U21’s 4.

Good game, especially for the first 30mins which I think Witton just edged it. However, once Barnton took the lead, we seemed to lose it, mainly due to too many substitutions, trying to give too many game time.

Barnton scored a second just before half-time, and dominated the 2nd half, scoring a further 2 goals.

My man-of-the match would you believe was the Barnton goalkeeper.
