Witton’s U21’s Development Squad are scheduled to be at home on Sunday afternoon when they welcome Altrincham-based Broadheath Central in a North West U21 Development League Premier Division fixture. Witton have shown improvement in recent weeks with an excellent draw at leaders Salford City, a game they could and maybe should have won after leading 3-1. Last weekend saw the lads defeated by Stockport Town but by all accounts, there were promising signs in that game also particularly as they fielded a young, inexperienced team. Broadheath Central are having an up and down season so far, not being able to put a run together. They thrashed bottom club Glossop North End last weekend by eight goals to one but despite their sixth position in the table, they have struggled for consistency. Witton will be wanting to build on their recent form and hopefully get a positive result but they will face a difficult test against a potent strike-force and will need to on top of their game if they are to achieve any reward. Kick off at Moss Farm is 1pm.
