Witton Albion U21's Development Squad vs Neston Nomads.

Witton’s U21’s Development Squad are in action on Sunday afternoon when they welcome Neston Nomads in a North West U21 Development League Premier Division fixture. Nomads go into the game currently in seventh place in the table and will be looking to complete a league double over Witton, following a narrow 1-0 win in the reverse fixture earlier in the season. Witton find themselves still in the bottom two but have made progress in recent weeks. They go into the fixture off the back of an excellent performance and result last Sunday at Rylands, where Albion hit six and then a very creditable performance against higher-ranked Sandbach United in midweek in a friendly which finished 3-3. Results are still inconsistent at present although a more settled team is now helping and will only benefit the players in the coming weeks. Kick off at Moss Farm is 4pm.

North West U21’s Development League Premier Division:

Witton Albion U21’s Development Squad 5 Neston Nomads 1.

Witton’s U21’s made it back to back league wins on Sunday afternoon and eleven goals in two games as they came from behind to beat Neston Nomads in a North West U21 Development League Premier Division fixture at Moss Farm.

Neston went in front but Witton fought their way back into the game and then secured all three points in a hard-earned and hard fought encounter. Ellis Wrench scored twice before the break to give Albion an interval lead. Ryan Malone added two more and Samuel McLaughlin also netted to give Albion what appears to be a comfortable victory but the way the game went, it was anything but that.

The victory sees Witton climb three places in the table.
