Another tough game faces Witton’s U21’s Development Squad on Sunday afternoon when they welcome Runcorn Linnets U21’s to Moss Farm in another North West U21’s Development League Premier Division fixture.
Albion are still looking for their first points following their latest narrow defeat at AFC Knowsley U21’s last weekend but, they put in a spirited performance and can feel disappointed not to take anything from the game.
New signings have added depth to the squad and they certainly made a difference at AFC Knowsley but, the home side’s goalkeeper performed heroically in order to prevent Witton taking anything from the encounter.
Runcorn Linnets are currently ninth in the table and have had a mixed season so far, winning three but losing five league games going into the weekend.
Their last outing a week ago saw them beat St Helens Town U21’s 3-0 at the The APEC Taxis Stadium so, they go into the game with a bit of form behind them.
Witton’s renewed spirit and determination could prove vital as they go in search of their first win but, they will certainly make things difficult for their opponents.
