Witton’s U21’s Development Squad are in action on Sunday afternoon when they welcome second-placed Salford City in a North West U21 Development League Premier Division fixture. Witton’s performances in recent weeks have seen a much improved and determined attitude as they look to string a run of results together. Sunday’s game sees them face another tough examination of their credentials as they tackle a free-scoring Salford City, who have amassed 29 goals in their last four games. However, Witton put in a tremendous performance in the reverse fixture earlier in the season as they gained a very creditable if unexpected point from a 3-3 draw and that after leading at half time. It may take a similar performance again this time round if Witton are to pick up anything from this game but it is certainly not beyond their capabilities. The game is being played at Moss Farm on the 3G pitch with a 4pm kick off.
